BMW’s preliminary figures say the 2009 BMW 335d will get 33 mpg in highway driving, 23 mpg in city driving. If so, that would provide highway mileage 27% better than the 335i gasoline engine on the highway, 35% better mileage in the city than the 335i, and in line with the industry line that diesels are good for 20% to 40% better mileage.
