Excellent condition, upgraded, well cared for and maintained 1987 BMW E24 M6 powered by a 3.5-liter S38 inline-six (256 HP) paired with a five-speed Getrag manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Rare Royal Blue Metallic (198) exterior over Lotus White and gray trimmed interior leather upholstery.
Equipment includes custom finished BBS Style 5 RC090 3 piece 17” wheels with polished rims (including spare), Pilot Super Sport 235/45ZR17 tires, sunroof, rear spoiler, power-adjustable front sport seats, power windows, cruise control, A/C, on-board trip computer, Sony Bluetooth stereo with handsfree, 6 Focal K2 Power Speakers, and power antenna. Upgrades are numerous and include Cibie Parabolic H1 High Beam lamps, Hella BiFocal H1 Low Beam head lamps, daytime running lights module, Stebro Back Cat stainless steel exhaust, Bilstein rear shocks (replaced OEM self-leveling system), an Ireland Engineering 4-wheel disc big brake kit, and a Z3 short shifter.
The hood, fenders, nose, air dam, rear valence, lower quarters, and mirror caps were stripped, primed, painted in Royal Blue Metallic and clear coated. The remainder of the M6 paint is original. The entire exterior was sealed with Opti-Coat Pro Ceramic Coating. The interior leather is original with the exception of the gray leather dash which was reupholstered along with the shift boot.
The black leather wrapped M-Tech I steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The odometer shows 84,300 original miles, approximately 7200 of which were added by the seller since 2015.
This E24 M6 is offered with two original keys, custom car cover, BMW manufacturer’s literature, original January 1988 purchase paperwork, maintenance / repair receipts from 1996 to present, a summary of repairs / upgrades by date / mileage, a complete toolkit, a set of the original TRX wheels, numerous spare parts including the original OEM stereo, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title.
