Description
I acquired this car in June of 2023 with roughly 79,000 miles. I have enjoyed it immensely and the car now has approximately 92,500 miles. It is an extremely fun car. Nimble, perfect size (seats 4, large trunk, rear seats fold down), plenty of power, and still practical enough to be driven every day if you want.
Was a California car until I brought it to Wisconsin. I am the third owner. First owner 2011-2015, second owner 2015-2023, and then me. After purchasing the car, I was able to connect with the first owner and he informed me the car was keyed during his ownership and repainted. The repaint is nice, I’d say 8/10, with minor wear and tear as expected for a car with this mileage. There is PPF on the hood, front bumper, and fenders.
I’ve personally completed a significant amount of maintenance during my ownership. Here are a few items I replaced: oil pan gasket, oil filter housing gasket, water pump and thermostat, both Vanos solenoids, intake valves were walnut blasted, serpentine belt and all pulleys. Index 12 injectors were installed by the previous owner at 79,000 miles, shortly before my acquisition. Beyond that I have replaced almost all fluids: coolant, power steering, brakes. I also recently replaced the spark plugs, coils, and MAP sensor. I have records of all of the work I have completed.
The car came to me with some modifications. I have kept it modified but sorted it to my liking. It has upgraded Pure Turbo Stage 2 turbos, inlets, down pipes (no catalytic converters), full Akrapovic exhaust with wireless kit (exhaust valve for loud/quiet), KW coilovers, Spec stage 3+ clutch, Spec aluminum single mass flywheel, and is running a custom 91 octane tune. The tune is fairly conservative, and I think is well within the mechanical comfort zone of the N54. I did have it on a dyno last summer and it made 415 hp and 450 ft-lb at the wheels. The only track work it saw under my ownership was one track attack at Jefferson Speedway in the fall of 2024. For me, it was primarily a fun car that I used on weekends, road trips, and a few stints as a daily commuter.
Happy to discuss in more detail and answer any questions. Not an original, low mileage show car but presents very well and has received a lot of love during my ownership. This is a car that can just be enjoyed. Clean Carfax and clean title. Only reason I am looking to sell is to save up money to pursue a 997 generation Porsche.
