After two seasons of winning the DTM Manufacturer's Championship with the M3, BMW has decided to update the car with the new M4 bodywork. Last week marked the first outing for two new BMW M4 DTMs at Circuito Monteblanco. For three days of testing, the team focused on learning the aerodynamics of the new bodywork as they covered over 1,500 miles! Six of the BMW Motorsport factory drivers were on hand to put the M4 DTMs through there paces: Augusto Farfus, Bruno Spengler, Timo Glock, António Félix da Costa, Marco Wittmann, and Maxime Martin.

The first official test session will be in Budapest between March 31 and April 3. The second four-day test will take place in Hockenheim from April 14 to 15. Then just two weeks later the 2014 DTM season will kick off on May 4th at the Hockenheimring.—Nate Risch
