Maxime Martin, Yelmer Buurman, and Bas Leinders in their Z4 GT3 clinched the Blancpain Endurance Series Pro Cup team championship for the Marc VDS team with their second place finish at the season finale at the Nürburgring.
Martin, who is running as Bill Auberlen’s co-driver in the BMW Team RLL Z4 GTE this season, skipped the COTA round of the American Le Mans Series to run with Marc VDS at the Ring.
Martin, Buurman, and Leinders finished third in the Blancpain drivers’ standings. The championship went to Maximilian Buhk, who won the Nürburgring race along with his HTP Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 co-drivers Maximilian Götz and Bernd Schneider.—Brian S. Morgan
