We don’t know what they’re going to say, but we do know when and where they are going to say it.
At 1:00 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, March 28, 2014, BMW will be making a big announcement at the BMW Spartanburg Manufacturing Plant in Greer, South Carolina. All they are saying now is that it will be a significant economic and product announcement.
How significant? Well, you might judge by the people who will be speaking at the event, starting with BMW AG Chairman of the Board Dr. Norbert Reithofer. He will be joined by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker; the Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley; BMW Group Board Member Harald Krueger, who is head of BMW’s global production network; and Manfred Erlacher, President of BMW Manufacturing.
We’ll leave the speculation to everyone else on what’s in the announcement. One thing we do know for certain is that we will be filling you in on the big story, oh, sometime around 1:00 p.m. Eastern time on March 28th—give or take a few seconds.—Scott Blazey
