Early in February we reported on an upcoming auction in conjunction with the 2014 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, in which a large number of classic BMWs would be on the block. The Amelia Island Concours concluded last weekend and the auction is history, so here is an update on the BMWs that were sold along with their winning bids.

For good measure, a 1963 BMW R69S motorcycle sold for $30,800.

The BMW with the highest winning bid—$1,815,000—was a 1958 BMW 507 that once graced the cover of Roundel Magazine. The car that sold for the highest amount in the entire auction was the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona-winning Porsche 907 Longtail, with a high bid of $3,630,000.—Scott Blazey
