FLIR has provided a unique video from the O'Fest 2013 Michelin Driving Schools at Laguna Seca, taken with the FLIR Quark thermal imager on the roof of an E46 M3. The image is made up of two major sections: The gray-scale parts of the image display the scene content that is below 122ºF, where white is the coldest and black is the hottest. The areas in the image above 122ºF are displayed as a series of colors, similar in appearance to molten iron, spanning temperatures from 122ºF to 392ºF; 122ºF is blue and 392ºF is bright yellow.
