November Drive

Our November Drive Tour starts from the Desert Diamond Casino parking lot, 7350 S. Nogales Hwy 85766. We are meeting there around 9:45 and plan to be motoring around 10am, taking the Old Nogales Hwy South and then onto Madera Canyon Road (at the confluence with E. Continental Road). Our first destination is the turnaround at Mt. Wrightson Picnic Area. We aren’t planning any lengthy stops on this tour, so it won’t be necessary to get a park pass unless you plan to go back and explore after lunch. Our second destination from the turnaround is Longhorn Grill & Saloon, just off Interstate 19 at Arivaca Junction. This is just North of the Customs Checkpoint, so going back to Tucson won’t involve passing through the line (that is unless you opt to go further south to Tubac after lunch). The roads are all paved on this drive, a little ‘tight’ along Madera Canyon Drive, but it oughta be a fun Drive Tour.
