BimmerWorld will return to the 2016 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series with a pair of F30 328i Street Tuner-class race cars.

Team-owner James Clay will campaign one of the cars, along with long-time BimmerWorld racer Tyler Cooke. The second F30 will be driven by Jerry Kaufman, who is coming to the team from the Tire Rack BMW CCA Club Racing Series, along with Kyle Tilley, his driving coach and a professional racer.

Kaufman was Club Racing rookie of the year in 2013; he also won the National Championship in the J-Prepared class that year. He is the I-Prepared points leader this season (2015 champions have not yet been officially announced by Club Racing).

Clay says, "It's no surprise that I am excited about our new BimmerWorld lineup. Tyler has grown with our team and turned into a formidable driver in the Continental field, and through OPTIMA Batteries' support, we'll be able to drive together for the 2016 season. We also continue to find and develop new talent, and the addition of Jerry Kaufman and Kyle Tilley puts another strong BimmerWorld 328i turbo combination on track. We have an experienced and capable team, the support of a tremendous group of sponsors, and this group will make for a solid overall package."—Brian S. Morgan
