In time for Monterey's 2016 Car Week, groups of BMW enthusiasts from all corners of the U.S. and Canada will converge on Monterey to join the BMW CCA in celebrating 100 years of BMW.
While the Roads to Monterey drive is being organized by the BMW Vintage & Classic Car Club of America, participation in this drive is open to all members of the BMW CCA, the BMW V&CCCA, and any other BMW club recognized by the International Council of BMW Clubs.
Beyond the cross-country hike, starting in the north-east, the south-east, the mid-west and the north-west, three elements of our program are as follows:
- The 180 mile group drive from South Lake Tahoe, CA to Sonoma, CA on Tuesday, August 16, 2016
- A visit during the afternoon of Tuesday, August 16, to the Sonoma, CA home of Jim and Gloria Smith to view their magnificent collection of vintage BMWs
- A group drive on Monday, August 22, 2016 from Monterey south on California coastal route #1 past Big Sur with optional visit to Hearst Castle.
