Spotted by Touriclips hustling around the Nürburgring is what appears to be an F86 BMW X6 M. It’s fast, it obviously has grip, and we’re still trying to find some evidence of body roll.
The M version of the X6 will have xDrive, of course. Power could be in excess of 500 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, delivered through a seven-speed dual-clutch (DCT) transmission. Even at two-and-half tons, the X6 M could have a zero-to-60 time fairly close to four seconds.
Now that the X6 has been joined by its smaller sibling, the X4, BMW Sport Activity Coupes may become more accepted, especially a version that will perform like the X6 M probably will. If you don’t like the looks, don’t worry. With this kind of performance, it will probably drive out of view pretty quickly.—Scott Blazey
