Since it's initial release in 2008, iRacing has become the benchmark for online racing simulations, and during 2014's BMW CCA Oktoberfest in Beaver Creek, Colorado, attendees of all ages could participate in a time trial competition to win prizes and determine the fastest driver around a virtual (but millimeter-accurate) version of Lime Rock Park in a Turner Motorsport BMW Z4 GT3. Like most features in iRacing, the Z4 GT3 in question was created using data from the Turner team to create the most accurate simulation experience they can—as many drivers quickly learned, the iRacing experience is not that of a console game, but instead one much closer to a real car.
