Last week we had a ton of fun in Beaver Creek for Oktoberfest 2014, presented by Michelin! If you weren't able to join us, you should set your sights on the Legends Of The Autobahn concours in Monterey, set for Friday, August 15. This car show is a great way to kick off an amazing weekend in California, with the BMW CCA Festorics at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Saturday and the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday.
And this year, BMW of North America is bringing along a special treat: the legendary V12 LMR, which gave BMW its first overall Le Mans victory in 1999 (we're not counting the BMW-powered McLaren F1, of course). This year we are proud to announce the Nicklaus Club-Monterey as our new Legends site. With an address of 100 Pasadera Drive, the venue is just off Highway 68—and right next to Laguna Seca! As with past years' events, each club will have its own parking corral and judging areas, and clubs will conduct their own judging and awards ceremonies. There will be a Best Of Show award, a People's Choice award, and other special awards. All active BMW CCA members are invited to participate!
