A Visit to the Gleeson Collection

Chapter member Peter Gleeson has probably the best privately-owned BMW collection in North America and one of the best in the world. Fortunately, Peter is very generous with sharing his cars with us. Peter really just loves having fun with his cars and all of us are the lucky beneficiaries of his generosity. The visits will take place on January 8, 2022, with the first showing at 10:00 am and the second showing at 2:00 pm, near the Alderwood Mall Cinema, and registration will be through MotorsportReg.com. It has been a while since we visited Peter’s collection, what with Covid and all, but it is time to see what Peter has added. There are several new surprises that await us. But there will be a few changes to the viewing this time. First, there will be a $20 admission fee to benefit the BMW CCA Foundation. Peter is a Trustee of the Foundation, so it is fitting that the admission will all go to the Foundation to support the good work they do. You’re welcome to donate more, but $20 is the minimum for admission. Children under 16 are free. Registration will be via MotorsportReg.com. (If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to set one up.) Second, the winter weather will drive the collection and all of us indoors, so it is going to be cozy in there. Because of this close proximity, and our general regard for one another, proof of vaccination is required. If you’re not vaccinated at the time of this event, please do not register and do not attend. We also ask that everyone wear a mask. Third, there will not be any coffee or snacks provided, so fuel up before you get there. You must register in advance to attend; no day-of-event registrations. We’ll meet at the Alderwood Mall Cinema at 18733 33rd Avenue West, Lynnwood, WA 98037. There is parking underneath the theater. Vaccine cards must be shown at the meeting place under the theater.
