Festorics

The BMW Festorics at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion with our Turn 5 Hospitality and Corral was visited by a couple hundred members over the two days. BMW CCA members enjoyed prime track side seating, views and sounds from the historical legends at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

As the morning fog gave way to beautiful sunshine, everyone at the all-BMW Marque Corral and Hospitality tent, enjoyed wine, beer, food and snacks with an amazing view of the races. A highlight for many members were the daily tours of the paddock and BMW Racing garage, spotlighting some of the amazing cars and talented competitors participating in the historic celebration.

We are proud to have hosted BMW NA’s newest generation BMW M5 Sedan plus the premiere of the 2025 BMW G99 M5 Touring.
Other notable models on the Hospitality green were Rob Ferrero’s 1972 2002tii Alpina Tribute, the incomparable Chris Willett’s experimental 1991 BMW 850i e31 (lovingly referred to as X31), Dick Glass’s 1980 M1 and Andrew Go’s 2016 tuned M3.

Before the Festorics weekend, there were Pre-Festorics events, too:

On Wednesday, August 14, 30 BMWs gathered in Carmel on a gorgeous picturesque day and drove south on California Highway 1 towards Big Sur. We were greeted by stunning views of the rugged coast line, green mountains on the east protected by a cap of morning fog and the most saturated blue sky and Pacific Ocean views you could ever imagine. We stopped at the famous Bixby Bridge overlook for photos and then made our way back through Carmel into Pacific Grove to attend The Little Car Show, an annual small car spectacle held every year during car week. We had an eclectic mix of BMWs including 2002s, 3.0 Coupe, an 1800 sedan, an E9 coupe, two Alpina B8s, one was an E36 Touring the other was an E28 and several modern era BMWs like 2-series and an X3M. Our club President Jeff Caldwell and his wife joined us for the tour.

On Thursday, August 15, following Legends of the Autobahn, the M Chapter welcomed 48 members from multiple chapters (and a few members from BMW CCA's national board) for a delicious multi-course buffet and happy hour at the Chart House restaurant on Monterey's Cannery Row. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed catching up on the excitement of Legends and immersing ourselves in motoring enthusiasm that comes with car week.
