It’s election time, and that means you’ll receive ballots with your January issue of Roundel Magazine.
You will find statements of interest written by some of your fellow BMW CCA members posted here. Reading these statements will help you understand why they are interested in becoming elected leaders of the Club—but whatever their reasons, we applaud their dedication and spirit of volunteerism. Without our volunteer leadership, we would not be the Club that we are today.
In order to give all candidates the opportunity to freely express their positions, we neither edit nor correct these statements; unless they are clearly libelous or defamatory, they appear as submitted. Only the candidates vouch for the accuracy of any facts or allegations contained herein. Nothing presented in these statements reflects any official position of either Roundel or the BMW CCA, and we cannot be held responsible for any errors of fact.
If you would like to learn more about our candidates than what you are able to read here, we encourage you to pose questions to the candidates in forums that have been created for each of them.
Members may vote by using the paper ballot cards mailed with the January issue of Roundel; additional paper ballots may be obtained from the National Office if necessary. Primary and associate members will find a mailing label affixed to the election notice included with Roundel. Each individual ballot must be returned by mail, and must have the member’s mailing label affixed to it, or it will not be counted.
In accordance with Article 5, Section 7 of the BMW Car Club of America bylaws, ballots will not be prepared this year for the position of BMW CCA Executive Vice President, because there is only one candidate for the position; he will be certified at the annual BMW CCA general meeting.
Remember, you must be a member in good standing as of December 16, 2013, to vote in this election. Voting will open on Thursday, January 2, 2014, and close Friday, February 21, 2014, at noon Eastern Standard Time. Results will be posted on the Club website that same day by 5:00 p.m. EST.
