BMW Motorrad's sales figures stayed strong in September, improving on the August records. September sales totaled 9,215 units to dealers, which is a 1,815 unit bump from August and a 603 bikes better than last year.

BMW's subsidiary, Husqvana also had a big month, supplying 1,255 bikes. That's 883 more than  August, though it does fall short of the 1,351 units delivered in Setember 2011, marking a 7.1% decline.

For the year BMW Motorrad is slightly down and it's currently 1.1% deficit below the January through September figures in 2011. Husqvarna, on the other hand, is up 21% over last year.

 BMW Motorrad USA reports sales of 790 motorcycles in September, an increase of 6% from 2011’s figures for the month. They are up 14.7% for the year in the US, with sales currently at 9,497 compared to the 8,280 sold at this time last year. The F800GS was one of the best performing models, up 102.2% to 89 units sold while the S1000RR sold 128 units sold, a 23.1% increase from 2011. ––Paul Duchene
