In his uncontested bid for president, Hazard received 1869 votes. Paul Dunlevy, running unopposed for the South Atlantic RVP, returns for another three-year term with a total of 521 votes. Michael Lingenfelter, also running unopposed for North Central RVP, received 350 votes.

The proposed change to Article V of the Operations Manual was also approved by a vote of 1785 for and 85 against. This change is to eliminate cost in years, like this one, when there are no contested elections. Here is how the new section of Article V reads:

Section 7. In those elections where there is only one candidate for each and every office covered by the election the Board of Directors need not follow the provisions of Section 4 above. In such case the Board of Directors shall announce the names of the candidates running for office without opposition in Roundel; voting need not be required. The Board of Directors shall ratify the election of the candidates at the annual meeting.

“I want to thank all of our candidates for their years of service to the BMW CCA,” said executive director Frank Patek. “Both nationally and locally they have served our community well, dedicating their time and energy to national service and within their own chapters.”
