NOVEMBER 3RD-7TH, 2011

Ditch the dreary skies of winter and join your fellow BMW CCA members for a unique driving experience in sunny Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina the first week of November.   Immerse yourself in everything BMW this weekend while relaxing at the luxurious Westin Savannah Resort & Spa, and serving as BMW's own guests at the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance.

This trip, planned in conjunction with the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina, provides a unique opportunity to drive the Grand Prize of America Track, which is located adjacent to the Westin.  This track hosted its inaugural race in 1997 when Helio Castroneves won the Indy Lights on its twisting 2.1 mile track.  The BMW Performance Center will ship down its own cars, such as their competition package M3s, along with their professional instructors, to prepare you to drive the Grand Prize track.  Their detailed instructions will help you navigate the track line of this beautifully banked course.

As a special surprise, we hope to be able to offer an incomparable opportunity to ride as a  passenger  in BMW's own vintage race car

s. Last year, BMW enabled our guests to experience several vehicles, each with its own illustrious racing history, and we hope to do so this year as well.

On Sunday you will be escorted as guests of BMW to the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance, which is the social event of the year on the Island. This year BMW is the featured marque

and the Concours promises a special opportunity to experience several one-of-a-kind BMW vehicles, such as rides in the 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost and Phantom drop-head coupe.

For those wishing to attend with non-driving spouses or friends, this trip provides an opportunity for them as well. They will be welcome to relax in the Heavenly Spa at the Westin's Savannah Resort, play a round of golf, or even just explore the magical city of Savannah while you enjoy your full-day of driving. The cost of the trip for a non-driving spouse is $1,000, and includes hotel accommodations, two group dinners, and Concours transportation and accommodations.

The cost of this trip is $2,295/dbl occupancy and $2,695/single and includes:

  •     Four (4) nights at the luxurious Westin Savannah Resort & Spa
  •     Two (2) group dinners at legendary Savannah restaurants
  •     Full-day of Track & autocross instruction by BMW's own professional instructors
