Terry Borcheller and Mike LaMarra in their Burton Racing 128i won the Street Tuner class in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race at Road Atlanta. They finished just ahead of Connor Bloum and Greg Strelzoff in their BimmerWorld 328i. It was the first ST win for Burton Racing.

Borcheller and Bloum battled for the lead over the course of the final hour of the race. Borcheller passed Bloum with nineteen laps left when the track went green after a yellow flag period, and held on for the win as the race went back to yellow for good with twelve minutes remaining.

Fall-Line’s Al Carter and Hugh Plumb finished eighth overall and eighth in the Grand Sport class in their M3; it was BMW’s best finish in the class. Boris Said stopped on course in the Turner Motorsport M3 just seventeen laps into the race, Fall-Line’s Charles Espenlaub was set back after his M3 made contact with another car, and the third Fall-Line car, shared by David Donohue and Mark Boden, went behind the wall with mechanical problems. The overall win went to John Edwards and Matt Bell in their Grand Sport Stevenson Motorsports Camaro.
