GREENVILLE, S.C. (November 26, 2013): The BMW Car Club of America—the largest single-marque car club in the world—is pleased to announce a new three-year sponsorship agreement with Michelin North America. Starting with Oktoberfest 2014 in Beaver Creek, Colorado, June 16–20, the premier annual gathering of the Club will be known as BMW CCA Oktoberfest presented by Michelin.

The first BMW CCA Oktoberfest was celebrated in 1969, the same year the Club was founded in Boston by enthusiasts who shared a passion for a curious new German import—the BMW 2002. Since then, the event has grown to become the greatest BMW-owners' event on the planet, thanks to the support of sponsors like Michelin.

The decision to partner with Michelin for the event was an easy one, according to Frank Patek, Executive Director of the BMW CCA.

“The Michelin and BMW Car Club of America brands stand for excellence and the pursuit of driving performance. Partnering with Michelin on Oktoberfest is a natural outgrowth of those longstanding principles."

Michelin, the industry leader in high-performance tires, is not only innovative when it comes to new tire technology, but also when it comes to engaging BMW car enthusiasts. The Michelin hot lap rides around Laguna Seca at O’Fest 2013 was a major draw for attendees.

“This partnership with the BMW Car Club of America helps provide us with a chance to connect with automotive enthusiasts in their element,” said Carrie Woodward, Brand Community Manager. “The event gives us an opportunity for BMW owners to have a Michelin experience and learn how tires can really add to the performance of their vehicles.”

Each year, O’Fest is held in a different location around the country and boasts a full week of social and driving events in an over-the-top celebration of all things BMW, 2014 will mark the 45th anniversary for both the BMW CCA and Oktoberfest.

The mountain village of Beaver Creek, Colorado, is sure to provide an exquisite setting for the celebration. Beaver Creek is located just west of Vail, approximately two hours from Denver, Colorado.

Registration and a redesigned Oktoberfest website will launch in early 2014.
