X-raid Minis finished in the top three positions in the tenth stage of the Dakar, leaving them on top of the rally standings as the competitors close in on Saturday’s finish in Chile. Nassar Al-Attiyah and Lucas Cruz won the stage, finishing 3.5 minutes ahead of Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret. Nani Roma and Michel Périn finished third.

Roma held onto the lead going into stage eleven, but Peterhansel, an eleven time winner of the Dakar, who had been 40 minutes behind Roma a week earlier, has closed the gap to just two minutes and fifteen seconds.

Al-Attiyah’s win moved him into third in the standings. Toyota’s Giniel de Villiers, who finished fourth in stage ten, is fourth in the standings.
