Membership renewal promotion gains 750 renewals

To win a chance for an all-expense-paid trip for two to Munich’s famous Oktoberfest celebration in September, sponsored by Spaten beer, all members had to do was upgrade their BMW CCA memberships. Better yet, a three-year renewal meant three chances in the drawing, a four-year renewal four chances, and a five-year renewal five chances.

Sandlapper Chapter president J. Dwayne Mosely joined National events-planner Linda Axelson and executive director Frank Patek at Hans and Franz's pub in Greenville, South Carolina, to draw the winning ticket for the Spaten Oktoberfest trip. As expected, most of the renewals were for three years—and one of those was made by David Rankin of the Puget Sound Chapter, who will soon be heading for Munich! (They’ve been celebrating beer in Bavaria for quite a while; this will be the 178th Oktoberfest!)

Departing on September 16 and staying at the four-star Hotel Preysing, Rankin and a companion will also enjoy several guided tours—including one to the famous Spaten brewery—fine dining, and entertainment. They’ll even enjoy a float trip down the River Donau. And of course they’ll receive VIP treatment at the 178th Oktoberfest.

Congratulations, David! Thanks, too,  to Spaten, our BMW CCA social partner! And thanks to each of the 750 BMW CCA members who upgraded their memberships in order to participate in this contest!
