The 2014 Tire Rack BMW CCA Club Racing Series begins with races in California, Texas, and Florida in March, and ends with an event in Georgia in December. Among the highlights along the way are a premier race on the Circuit Of The Americas, home of the U.S. Formula 1 round. Club racers will take to COTA in March, with another premier race at Virginia International Raceway in April, a North American Challenge race at Mid-Ohio in May, and a newly-designated “Racerfest” national race at Road Atlanta in September.

More events will be designated national races this year, including races at Pittsburgh and Savannah Harbor. Premier, national, and other specially-designated races carry extra points for those who are running for national and regional championships.

The Tire Rack Series, entering its 19th season in 2014, provides a place for BMW racers in everything from 2002s (few and far between these days, but still out there at events like the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in July) to E92 M3s. There are well-subscribed spec classes for E30s and E36s, and classes for all imaginable levels of preparation and budget.

Club Racing chairman Gary Davis says that a few more events will be added to the schedule soon. With the exception of one endurance race at Pittsburgh, the posted schedule is for the Tire Rack Series; the balance of the schedule for the new Club Racing Endurance Series, which began in 2013, will also be posted in the near future. The schedule can be viewed here, and anything else that you would like to know about the series is posted on the Club Racing website.—Brian S. Morgan
