As part of the BMW CCA Recognition Program we established in 2014, there are now awards presented to honor chapter excellence. The three chapter awards are Best Growth and Retention, Most Charitable Hours, and Highest Charitable Contributions made by a chapter. These awards were announced during the BMW CCA Annual Meeting in Dallas at the end of April.
Below are the results of all of the Chapter Recognition awards for 2015. Congratulations to all the chapters for their hard work and commitment to strengthening the entire club through the charities.
Outstanding Chapter - Financial Charitable Contribution: Recognizes the top three chapters in the country, based on the total financial contribution they made in 2015.
- Allegheny Chapter – $41.19/capita member
- Illini BMW Chapter – $17.56/capita member
- St. Louis BMW Club Chapter – $13.78/capita member
On hand to accept the awards on behalf of the Allegheny Chapter, were members: Chris Williams – Driving Events Coordinator (DEC) for Allegheny Chapter and PVGP Parking Captain; Mark Connolly - Tech Steward - both weekends of the PVGP and Barry Kaplan - Chief Safety Steward for both weekends of the PVGP.
Outstanding Chapter - Charitable Hours: Recognizes the top three chapters in the country, based on total reported Charitable Hours.
- Windy City – 1284 total hours
- Allegheny Chapter – 700 total hours
- San Diego Chapter – 450 total hours
Outstanding Chapter - Growth and Retention: Recognizes a finalist from each region, and then the overall winner for the Club. Scores are based on the Chapter Scorecard for overall growth in membership and retention of members for the 2015 year.
