The BMW Car Club of America received four awards from the 26th International Automotive Media Competition (IAMC). The IAMC program recognizes and encourages excellence in all forms of automotive media.

BMW CCA received a Gold award for Total Publication Graphics for the May 2016 issue of Roundel. To receive a Gold award, the entry must receive at least 97 of 100 possible points from the judges.

The club received Bronze awards for Magazine Graphics: Cover for the 2016 Legends of the Autobahn event program; Printed Periodical – Entire Publication: for the November 2016 issue of Roundel; and Crossmedia – Single Entry for the Celebrate BMW Tour Video and Article.

BMW CCA Creative Director W. Len Rayburn said, “We are thrilled that BMW CCA received awards for all four entries for our first ever submissions to this competition. We competed against many other publications, including Car and Driver and MotorWeek.”

“I’m particularly proud that David Rose and Nick Parente of HittingRedline.com were recognized for their Celebrate BMW Tour videos and article. While I think they should have gotten a higher award, getting recognized with an award in your first IAMC competition remains a wonderful achievement.”

According to the IAMC website, “Judging for the IAMC is by peers, to a standard; entries may earn up to 100 points. The Medallion Awards -- Bronze (85-91 points), Silver (92-96 points) and Gold (97-100 points) -- are presented for those works so qualified.”
