The DTM series will run two races per weekend spread over nine weekends for a total of eighteen races in 2015. One race will be run on Saturday and the second will be run on Sunday. In 2014 the series ran one race per weekend over the course of ten weekends.
Information on race length, qualifying, and other details has not yet been released. DTM principal Heinz Werner Aufrecht says “We know that many DTM enthusiasts were keen on two races per weekend as every additional race minute promises additional excitement and action. Now we responded to this desire and we are going to fix the details in the coming weeks.”
The series will return to all of its 2014 venues with the exception of the Hungaroring.
The schedule follows:
May 1-3 Hockenheim
May 29-31 Lausitzring
June 26-28 Norisring
July 10-12 Zandvoort
July 31-August 2 Red Bull Ring
August 28-30 Moscow Raceway
September 11-13 Oschersleben
September 25-27 Nurburgring
October 16-18 Hockenheim
