Official Announcement: Election Results For Treasurer and RVP Positions
The official results are in for the 2016 BMW CCA elections.
Brian Thomason Elected Treasurer
When voting closed on Friday, February 26, Los Angeles Chapter Treasurer, Brian Thomason, was elected to the national treasurer position over Scott Mallan. Thomason replaces longtime treasurer Louis Goldsman who served for 13 years on the national board.
Lou Ann Shirk Elected North Atlantic Regional Vice-President
Nittany Bimmers Chapter member Lou Ann Shirk was elected North Atlantic Regional Vice-President over Melvin Dillon. Shirk currently serves on the Recognition Program Committee and will take over the RVP spot from board member, John Sullivan, who served for 10 years.
Jeff Cowan Elected Pacific Regional Vice-President
Current Golden Gate Chapter Communications Director and former national board member, Jeff Cowan, was elected Pacific Regional Vice-President over incumbent Nick Owen. Cowan previously served as Pacific Region Vice-President from 2010-2013.
About the Elections
Members voted by using the paper ballot cards that were delivered as a standalone mailing; additional paper ballots were available from the National Office.
Members had to be in good standing as of December 13, 2015, to vote in the election. Voting opened on Monday, January 4, 2016, and closed Friday, February 26, 2016, at noon Eastern Standard Time.
The Club would like to thank all of our candidates for their dedication and spirit of volunteerism, and also congratulate the winners. Without our volunteer leadership, we would not be the Club we are today!
