Andrew Jordan in the #77 West Surrey Racing 125i M sport won the first race in the British Touring Car Championship event at Oulton Park. His teammate Rob Collard finished fifth, and his other teammate Colin Turkington finished 29th after his car had a late-race electrical problem.
Collard finished second in race two; it was the 150th podium for West Surrey Racing with BMW in BTCC. The win in race two went to Ashley Sutton in a Subaru. Jordan finished fifth and Turkington was thirteenth. In race three, won by Honda racer Gordon Shedden. Jordan finished third, Turkington was fifth, and Collard was sixth.
After Oulton Park Collard is second to Shedden in drivers’ points and BMW/WSR lead manufacturer-constructor points. The series runs again at Croft on June 10-11.—Brian S. Morgan
