BMW of North America continues its philanthropic ways in support of America's Olympic and Paralympic teams this summer with its new "Drive For A Cause" campaign.
From now through September, dealerships across the country will host events for current and potential customers to test-drive new BMWs. For each test drive, BMW of North America will donate to Team USA or a local charity of the dealer's choosing. BMW NA has allocated up to $1,500,000 for this initiative.
Is it a marketing program? Yes it is. Will it help fund Team USA Olympic and Paralympic athletes training and provide them better opportunities to represent themselves, their teammates, and their country at the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic games in Brazil? Yes it will. Does it give BMW enthusiasts another chance to experience the latest BMW offerings and help give BMW NA’s money to worthwhile local charities? Yes it does.
“Drive for a Cause is more than a summer sales initiative. It’s a meaningful part of what we do to support Team USA and other important local charitable endeavors,” said Trudy Hardy, Vice President, Marketing, BMW of North America. “Any time you can get people behind the wheel of a BMW while simultaneously generating attention and raising money for worthy charities, it’s a win-win.”

Test drives may also include the opportunity to drive corresponding models from BMW competitors such as Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Check your local events for more details.
