Turner Motorsport has announced that Bill Zeigler and Bret Curtis will drive the team’s Pirelli World Challenge GT-A class Z4 GT3s in 2015. The PWC season opener will be run at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas on March 6.
Ziegler, who began racing in 1998, was rookie of the year in the World Challenge GT championship in 2009, and has extensive experience in a number of series. Curtis, who brings experience in the US and abroad to the team, has raced at Monza, Silverstone, and Paul Ricard, and has raced in the 12 Hours of Bathurst, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and in the 24-hour races at Daytona, Spa, and Le Mans. Curtis finished fifth in GTC in the ALMS race at Long Beach in 2013. Ziegler will drive car #95 and Curtis will drive #32. Livery for both cars will be revealed soon.
“It has really been a pleasure working with Bill and Bret on our Pirelli World Challenge program and we are excited to get these two Z4s out on track in their GT3 trim. We have had great luck with the Pirelli World Challenge race format in the past so we are looking to have a great year,” commented Will Turner.—Brian S. Morgan
