The all-new 2017 BMW 5 Series Sedan will have its world premiere in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. To whet our appetite for the new BMW mid-size standard bearer, BMW released this introductory video highlighting the new line of 5s including the 530e iPerformance. Also demonstrated are many of the new sedan's standard and optional features, such as remote parking, the display key, Gesture Control, BMW Connected, and semi-autonomous cruise control and lane keeping and changing. It also shows some guy rowing.
Consider it a partner video to BMW Films "The Escape" starring Clive Owen. They both feature the same car, but this video has fewer explosions. And a guy rowing.—Scott Blazey
