Watch Augusto Farfus Lap The Nürburgring In An M4 DTM Race Car

For the first time in 23 years, a DTM race car lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife and set a very impressive lap time. BMW Motorsport factory driver, Augusto Farfus, took part in a Shell Motorsport promotion called the Helix Heart Beat where a couple lucky winners got to ride along with him in the Shell BMW M4 DTM race car as he took to the famous track. 

According to BMW Motorsport, the car "was adjusted for the specific track conditions on the Nordschleife." Judging by the video, Augusto wasn't pushing too hard, yet he still set a 6:14 bridge-to-gantry lap time!
