Marco Wittmann, driving the #11 BMW Team RMG M4 DTM, finished second on Saturday and fourth on Sunday in the DTM races at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. His results let him keep his DTM drivers' points lead going into the series' Moscow rounds in August.

Two additional BMW racers finished in the points on both days. On Saturday António Félix da Costa (Team Schnitzer) was sixth and Maxime Martin (Team RBM) was tenth. On Sunday Timo Glock (Team RMG) was sixth and Tom Blomqvist (Team RBM) was tenth.

Mercedes’ Robert Wickens won on Saturday and Audi’s Jamie Green won on Sunday.

BMW Motorsport director Jens Marquardt said, “Sunday’s race was as tough for us as we expected it to be. However, our drivers kept cool heads and fought hard to the very end. They were rewarded for their efforts with fourth, sixth and tenth. We are pleased with these points. I think we made the most of our opportunities this weekend. This is particularly true of Marco Wittmann. He has defended his lead in the Drivers’ Championship. I am very pleased for him. We have all earned a short break now, then we will travel fully focused to the next race in Moscow.”—Brian S. Morgan
