Marco Wittmann, driving the #11 BMW Team RMG M4 DTM, finished fourth on Saturday and sixth on Sunday in the DTM races at the Lausitzring in Brandenburg, Germany. Wittmann's results were the best for BMW on a circuit that BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt said he knew would be challenging for the M4 DTM.

On Saturday ninth-place Maxime Martin (Team RBM) was the only other BMW racer to score points; Audi racer Miguel Molina won the race. On Sunday Bruno Spengler (Team MTEK) finished ninth and Timo Glock (Team RMG) finished tenth in a race won by Mercedes’ Lucas Auer.

After the second race Marquardt said, “The Sunday race was hard work for us again. Marco Wittmann achieved a very good result with his sixth place. The points scored by Bruno Spengler and Timo Glock were also important. We knew we would struggle on this track, but still came away with some points. We will now turn our attention to the next race at the Norisring.”
