During the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit last week, BMW M GmbH CEO Frank Van Meel sat down and talked about the recent success of BMW M, and about its future. Not only did he talk about the flagship M4, he also discussed the impressive response to special-edition M cars like the M4 GTS. And he says that the new G30 5 Series will provide a great platform for a new M5.
Considering that the M4 GTS can lay down lap times with some of the best sports cars, the sheer driving pleasure that the M2 produces, and the potential performance from the new M5, it would appear the BMW's M Division is in a great place and has a bright future.—Nate Risch
