BMW takes center stage at the 10th Annual Motoring Festival
The tenth annual Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d' Elegance is just around the corner, and BMW is taking center stage as the Honored Marque, with rare exhibits celebrating its rich history.

Kicking things off is the Savannah Speed Classic, October 28-30, at the Grand Prize of America Track in Westin Savannah Harbor Resort with the event's inaugural Car Club Challenge. Featuring up to 60 BMW CCA racers competing against Porche and Ferrari-club members (plus hot laps in street and race cars), this full-throttle weekend will be thrilling for participants and cruise-in spectators alike. Also, Boris Said, perennial BMW CCA favorite, will serve as the Grand Marshal for the Savannah Speed Classic event on Hutchinson Island. With his extensive experience, Said is the perfect fit for the Grand Prize of America Road Course, a wide, 1.965 mile circuit with 10 turns. Fans will get an up close and personal experience with Said who will be on-site offering hot lap rides to spectators (available at an additional cost), signing autographs and joining in a Q&A series with other noteworthy drivers including the Festival's 2010 Honorary Chairman, Hurley Haywood.
Let it Shine!
One week after the engines roar in Savannah, the paint will shine on Hilton Head Island at the Costal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. On Saturday November 5th, the Car Club Jamboree will feature 20 of our member's finest BMWs, plus an eclectic mix of over 150 cars from all makes, models and eras. As if the Jamboree on Saturday wasn't enough, Sunday's Concours d' Elegance features another 150 classic vehicles all vying for the coveted "Best in Show" title. The event's entrance will celebrate the design and engineering of all the BMW brands with a once-in-a-lifetime collection of private and museum owned vehicles including BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad Motorcycles. Throughout the day, BMW will also have new vehicle displays, customer ride and drive opportunities, plus a seperate display of rare vintage race vehicles.

To help you get into the Honored Marque mood, BMW CCA will host a business casual, members-only dinner at the Crowne Plaza Beach Resort on Friday, November 4th - prior to the weekend's festivities. Because BMW is the Honored Marque, some big names will be in attendance, and you'll have the opportunity to hear them speak at our exclusive dinner.
The evening will (tentatively) feature new BMW NA CEO Ludwig Willisch AND BMW Motorsport Manager Larry Koch. Each will share their unique knowledge and experience of the cars we've come to know and love. Open to all BMW CCA members, this special dinner is an excellent way to kick off this historic weekend.
