The BMW 6-Series Coupe’s metal is still hot from the factory welding, but the fact that the Germans have brought out a new flagship coupe doesn’t mean that we can’t hope for more, according to Autoevolution.
There are many fans who would like to see the Bavarians resurrect a true flagship two-door model, the 8-Series, so Turkish industrial designer Ismet Cevik came up with renderings of the vehicle. Such a model would be a true 2+2 Grand Tourer and enable BMW to fill out all possible niches.
Here’s what the designer had to say about the concept: “It’s actually a real rival to the Mercedes CL. Because I think the 6-Series is not a full comparison to the CL-Class. I went a bit further from a CL, and also included Rolls-Royce and Bentley influences. It is definitely a 90′s legend 8-Series. High class, business, luxury and supersport. Created to be a new legend for BMW.” ––Paul Duchene
