BMW CCA members invited to premier on January 14
As documentary filmmakers, the Hahne brothers, Tim and Nick, had unprecedented access to BMW Motorsport's preparation for the 2011 Nürburgring 24-hour race. They started recording team and car preparation as early as February in order to tell the complete story of BMW’s preparation and racing effort. "There were no limitations; we were right up close," says Nick Hahne. [Continued after image gallery]
Prior to the race, there many unique opportunities to interact with the team. The Hahne brothers spent time filming with Augusto Farfus and Jorg Müller during their preparations in their adopted country of Monaco, and Schnitzer team manager Charly Lamm provided plenty of entertaining anecdotes during the filming. During the race, around 200 hours of material were recorded, using six different cameras. The results are spectacular.
But this may be your only chance to watch this movie in a theater. And let's be honest, when was the last time you were invited to a movie premier?
