The new generation of the BMW 1-Series is already on the market, being test driven and fighting to attract customers, but BMW has only launched the five-door model so far, with the three-door one still being kept covered.
However, Autoevolution's spy photographers recently encountered a prototype of the three-door during a cold weather testing session. As you can see, the company wants to give the three-door a distinct identity, with visible changes to the profile of the car.
The B pillar comes at a different angle, while at the rear window you can see the usualy paisley wallpaper that conceals the new lines. The vehicle will borrow the engine range from the five-door version of the 1-Series, and could arrive at the Geneva Motor Show next month.––Paul Duchene
