Hand moves to Team RBM

BMW Motorsport has announced its DTM driver pairings for the 2013 season. Joey Hand and Andy Priaulx will switch teams, while the other 2012 drivers will stay where they were last season.

Defending champion Bruno Spengler and his teammate, Dirk Werner, will stay with BMW Team Schnitzer. Hand moves from BMW Team RMG to Team RBM, while Priaulx moves the other direction.

Priaulx has run with Team RBM for some time; he won his European and World Touring Car Championships with the team before it moved to the DTM series. His former partner, Augusto Farfus, stays with RBM. Like Priaulx, he ran with RBM in its WTCC days. Priaulx’s new partner will be 2011 DTM champion Martin Tomczyk, who remains with RMG.

BMW’s new DTM drivers will run with the newly formed BMW Team MTEK. The two drivers are Timo Glock, who has just moved to DTM from the Formula One Marussia team, and Marco Wittmann, who was a test and development driver for BMW in DTM last season.
