Longtime CCA member and E9 coupe enthusiast Murray Fowler passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013. Best known for his 40-year relationship with “Blue Max,” a tastefully modified 1970 2800CS coupe with over 400,000 miles on the odometer, Murray was highly regarded by every member who met him—but he was especially respected and admired in the E3 and E9 communities.
Unlike many seniors, Murray’s passion for both driving and maintaining coupes increased with age—and his contagious attitude has influenced hundreds of BMW CCA members to truly enjoy their BMWs.
