If you’re counting the days until you can buy a new 4 Series coupe or convertible, 4 Series Forums has published a leaked chart from BMW, showing the production start (and end) dates of all 2014 4 Series models, except the M4.

All coupe variants will begin production in Munich in July, and will be produced for the 2014 model year through June 2014. Convertibles will be assembled in Regensburg, beginning in November and ending in July 2014.

The 4 Series coupe will be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, in 428i, 428xi, 435i, and 435xi forms. All 428i models will get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, while 435i cars will get a turbocharged 3.0-liter in-line six rated at 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque.

BMW will also offer 428i and 428xi models in SULEV guise, reportedly using the N20 engine as opposed to the N26 found in other 428 models.

As for the 4-Series Convertible, three rear-wheel drive models will be available. The range starts with the 428i, then goes to the higher-performance 428i S. Rounding out the product line will be the 435i Convertible. No all-wheel drive 4-Series convertible models have been mentioned yet.––Paul Duchene
