Nine CCA chapters from across the country—California to Delaware, Oregon to Florida—were well represented at the BMW CCA Two-Day M School held at the BMW Performance Center in June. The fourteen men—and one woman—learned driving essentials in the Competition Package M3, the new F10 M5, and brand-new M6 on the Center’s own track.
On the first day, members were challenged by the slalom, handling track, wet skid pad, and timed-runs course in preparation for Day Two, which raised the stakes and gave them the opportunity to master the full 1.7-mile course. Members enjoyed a Club dinner on Saturday night in the private wine cellar of the Marriott, sharing stories of their adventures on the track and trying to recuperate from their exhausting track day.
There is one more Club Two Day M School the weekend of July 13-14 which is full, but we will announce the 2014 dates shortly in an upcoming Roundel Weekly. We are proud to announce that due to overwhelming demand, we will be offering a Women’s Only Two Day M School in April of 2014—a wonderful holiday gift idea!—Jackie Bechek
