Club News

     

    Every year the 67 chapters of the BMW CCA raise money for charity through organized driving and social events. This year our chapters raised a total of $159,084 for over 50 individual charities. Congratulations are in order for the Allegheny Chapter, which raised $45,764 for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association! Coming in second was the Tarheel Chapter, with $28,387 going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, and third went to Windy City, with $17,523 raised for their favorite charities.
     
     
    In an effort to promote these types of activities, the National Office has added to each chapter's charitable contributions with a portion of the $20,000 dedicated by the Club to matching chapter donations. The funds will be distributed based on a prorated basis. 
     
    The Allegheny Chapter was able to raise an incredible $45,764 for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association's Charities through their annual gathering at the PVGP. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association’s mission is to produce a world-class vintage racing event in order to raise funds that help provide residential care, treatment and support individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Pittsburgh region through the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School. The National Office has supplemented the funds raised by the Allegheny Chapter with an additional $5,753 for a total of $51,517.
     
    It should be noted that the several chapters combined to raise over $10,000 for the BMW CCA Foundation by hosting Street Survival Schools which count toward the Charity Matching Fund Program.
