The auto show season has officially kicked off with the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris. The biennial show is historically one of the more important shows for manufacturers as there are usually many new production and concept vehicle unveilings. This year the BMW Group featured the World Premeire for two new models: the BMW 2 Series Convertible and the new BMW X6. 

Also getting the spotlight in the City of Lights are the new four-cylinder diesel engines for the BMW 5 Series, an exclusive special edition of the BMW 7 Series luxury sedan, and the BMW Concept X5 eDrive. The X5 eDrive, is an innovative plug-in hybrid that pushes the BMW EfficientDynamics development to a new level as it can achieve 74 mpg in the EU test cycle. Read more about the X5 eDrive.

It was a great start to the auto show season for the BMW Group, and we can't wait to see what they'll bring to the L.A. Auto Show in November and the North American International Auto Show in January.—Nate Risch
