Jay O’Connell, technical director for BMW Team RLL, discusses the team’s prospects for the new season in an interview with sportscar365.com.

O’Connell notes that the team is running two new cars this year. The existing cars had been run for two years, and a change was due. With specs for the class frozen, the cars are very similar to those run in 2013 and 2014, although, as noted here a few days ago, they have been granted a larger intake restrictor, reduced weight, and a lower rear wing gurney height. They also have redesigned rear wheel bearings and an updated nose.
