Every year the 67 chapters of the BMW CCA raise money for charity through organized driving and social events. In 2014, our chapters raised a total of $208,993 for over 45 individual charities. Congratulations are in order for the Allegheny Chapter, which raised $34,920 for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association. The PVGP Association helps provide residential care, treatment and support for individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Pittsburgh region. The $34,920 raised by Allegheny was the most money raised overall by a chapter and the most per capita raised as well.
In an effort to promote these types of activities, the National Office has added to each chapter's charitable contributions with a portion of the $20,000 dedicated by the Club to matching chapter donations. The funds will be distributed based on a prorated basis. The grand total of funds raised for charity by BMW CCA for 2014 was $228,993.60!
