With no M version of BMW’s flagship luxury sedan on the radar, the void is being filled once again by BMW tuner Alpina with a possible new 600-horsepower B7.

Just when we thought we would see no more camouflaged G11/G12 7 Series, here comes Alpina testing its new B7 at the Nürburgring. Industry observers are speculating that a new Alpina B7 would have a 4.4-liter V8 that would put out at least 600 horsepower. To get all that power to the wheels and keep them planted, notice the front splitter, lip spoiler, larger intakes, and lowered suspension.

Naturally, the car would have all the regular Alpina touches—Alpina wheels, embroidered upholstery, and if the current B7 is any measure, a zero-to-sixty time that gets pretty close to four seconds.

Another nice thing about Alpina BMWs is that you can get them through U.S. dealerships with the full BMW warranty.

If you love the new 7 Series but being chauffeured isn’t your thing and the stock 7 seems a little ordinary, the Alpina 7 might be the answer.—Scott Blazey
